halloween: scary, not scary
Posted on 20 October 2010

The only horror film that has ever truly affected me was probably Child’s Play.
Although, I did watch it when I was under the age of ten. I think my mom thought it was a kid’s movie. Other than that, the only film I can recall really creeping me out is none other than Killer Klowns From Outer Space. Only a couple specific scenes, though. It’s interesting, both movies were made in 1988.
One of my favorite childhood activities was to put on a big coat and chased our friends around the house.
My most favorite scary stories were Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. The illustrations are indescribable.

In light of all these wonderful things, I realize as Halloween comes around, it’s really no scarier then every other part of the year. At least for me. So if you want to raise your children so they’re never afraid of horror movies, scare them. All the time. That’s the only advice I have to offer.
